Sofie Engström von Alten is an illustrator and graphic designer, with a B.A. in Fine Arts and language from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an A.A. in Graphic Design and book publishing. Growing up, Sofie’s family traveled a lot, sparking her passion in foreign cultures. As an adult, Sofie has explored more than 50 countries and set foot on every continent.

Sofie is the author of Dino Does Yoga and a proud recipient of the Maurice Sendak grant for illustrators. She currently splits her time between Mexico and California, with plans to visit Panamá very soon!
